Re-sparked my Twitter usage.

So I had a thought last night when that Letterman ad came on during the Super Bowl. I thought it was a decent ad, simple and to the point. But what hit me is that NBC would have never let Leno participate in an advertisement for the show competing in his time slot. In other words, this commercial was most likely filmed while Leno was still in the 10pm slot and Conan was running the Tonight Show. Meaning, Leno even before this whole deal debacle came up, was already out there undermining Conan’s gig.

Most of you know, I am no fan of Leno. I think his humor (on the Tonight Show and the Jay Leno Show, his stand-up is funny) is based in making fun of other people and belittling his guests. He already showed his character by backhanding his way into the Tonight Show seat, taking it from Letterman. And now, after giving up his seat, it seems he was doing everything he could do to get it back…sleezy.
